KhmerOS at aKademy 2006 in Dublin, Ireland

Two people from KhmerOS project in Cambodia had been invited to joine the KDE conference called aKademy that would be taken place in Dublin, Ireland from 23rd to 30th September 2006.

KDE Cross Cultural – Localization In Cambodia – Jens Herden is a 41 year old German who has been using computers since the age of 14. Currently he is working for Quanta and for the KhmerOS project in Cambodia, where he has been living together with his wife for almost four years. He is an Open Source Developer for KhmerOS project. He had been presenting of Localization and KDE in Cambodia at the conference.

As I know him, he is fluently in english speaking, talent and clever. He was wearing Mekhala T-shirt (Mekhala is a Web browser program locale in Khmer from Mozilla Firefox) at being presents in the conference.

Ohoo, I forgot to talk about other one from KhmerOS, he is blackest man in the team, his name Sokhem as a localization or translation team leader. But we always joke to call him IBM, do u know IBM? It stand for International Black Man. Don’t confuse it is the brand name of computer IBM na! lolz

But Sokhem comments me to call him International Business Man (IBM). hahaha…hahaha..
